LOVE LOCAL FOOD… AND LOTS OF IT?
Join us on Sunday, September 14th (rain date 09/21) from 11:00-5:00pm on the Rose Kennedy Greenway (191w Atlantic Avenue Boston, MA 02110) as 40,000 New Englanders flood the greenway to enjoy our region’s finest food. The festival features a multitude of activities to participate in, nearly 100 food vendors, free samples, chef demos, a Family Fun Zone, a thrilling Seafood Throwdown, and our New England Village. The Boston Local Food Festival has become a Boston tradition, boasting the character of New England’s thriving food culture. As one of New England's largest one-day food events, the festival is a can’t-miss celebration of our NE community.
In addition to nearly 100 food vendors with cuisines from all over the world, we are excited to share our Festival Highlights:
The Seafood Throwdown, where two chefs race through the festival to create stunning seafood dishes for the judges.
Chef Demos at the Clarke Kitchen, showcasing our vendors in action with free tastings for attendees.
The Family Fun Zone featuring open movement, learning, playing, face painting, lawn games and interactive exhibits from The Trustees, including Edible Native plant tasting and seed bomb-making, and the MA Division of Marine Fisheries Crab Smash-and-Tasting Activity.
The Trustees Adventure Van, Boston Public Library’s mobile bike library, and more.
FSNE’s New England Village educates festival-goers about their 50-by-60 Food Vision: By 2060, 50% of the food consumed in New England is produced in New England.
We can’t wait to see you this year for more food, fun, and community celebration!

Be Part of the Festival
There are many ways to GET INVOLVED!
Volunteers make the festival the joyful celebration it is. From set up to break down, from supporting the chef demos to overseeing our zero waste efforts, from public engagement to behind the scenes, there is a role for everyone who wants to be part of this amazing event. For more information, fill out the form at the link below.
It takes the proverbial village to bring you the unique local food makers. Although an event of this quality and size has many costs, we need to keep vendor fees as low as possible. Sponsors make this possible through their generosity and participation with in-kind and financial sponsorships. Sponsorship comes with many perks, reaching tens of thousands of festival goers, and even farther in our communications before and after the event; demonstrating your company’s values and commitment to local food, farming and fishing, communities and the local economy; and engaging nearly 100 local food businesses. We work with each sponsor to make sure we are meeting their communications and participation goals. For more information about sponsorship, see the link below, or email the Local Food Program Manager at kerry@sbnmass.org.

New England Village
SBN is excited to be partnering for the 11th year with Food Solutions New England (FSNE) to present The New England Village. The Village followed the announcement of FSNE’s 50 by 60 New England Food Vision at the 2014 Boston Local Food Festival. The Food Vision calls for our region to build the capacity to produce at least 50% of the food consumed in New England by 2060. The New England Village highlights our New England vendors as a sampling of how easy it is to support and celebrate our region’s interconnection, making a vision of 50 by 60 come to life!
Spend time in the New England Food Vision Gallery, take a closer look at the Vision, and dream about what is next for our food system!

Zero-Waste Challenge
The Boston Local Food Festival aims to be a zero-waste event. Most outdoor festivals create mountains for trash for landfills. We aim to divert at least 90% of our disposables to compost or recycling. Help us keep Boston beautiful and the planet healthy!
